Attagram Safety & Compliance

Last updated: 2026-05-09

Attagram is built to live on a kitchen counter, in a family home, with kids around. This page outlines how we approach electrical safety, component selection, and responsible manufacturing for a device that belongs in that environment.

Our approach to safety

Attagram devices are designed around a “fail-safe” philosophy: if something goes wrong—a fault or unexpected condition—the device is built to reduce risk rather than amplify it. This is a kitchen appliance for a family, not an enterprise device, and the design reflects that.

Key principles include:

  • Use of externally powered, low-voltage systems
  • Isolation between high-current and low-current components
  • Protection against overcurrent and short-circuit conditions
  • Conservative thermal design to prevent overheating

Power system design

Attagram devices are powered using a standard USB-C adapter. This approach keeps components safe and low-voltage.

Each unit:

  • Is designed to operate with a certified external power adapter
  • Includes internal overcurrent protection to limit fault conditions

Thermal and mechanical design

Thermal printers generate heat during operation. Our enclosures and internal layouts are designed to account for this.

Design considerations include:

  • Airflow and spacing around heat-generating components
  • Use of durable enclosure materials appropriate for consumer electronics
  • Secure mounting and strain relief for all internal wiring

Component selection

We prioritize widely used, commercially proven components, including:

  • Wi-Fi control modules with existing regulatory approvals
  • Standardized power connectors and wiring
  • Thermal printing mechanisms commonly used in consumer devices

Using established components helps reduce unknown risks and improves overall reliability.

Testing and validation

Before shipment, devices undergo functional testing and extended runtime validation. This includes:

  • Continuous operation testing
  • Verification of stable power delivery
  • Inspection for heat buildup or abnormal behavior

Responsible use

To ensure safe operation, users should:

  • Use only the provided or recommended power adapter
  • Avoid covering or obstructing ventilation areas
  • Operate the device in a dry, indoor environment

Compliance

Attagram devices are designed to align with applicable U.S. regulations for electronic products, including FCC requirements for devices containing wireless modules.

Where applicable, devices may incorporate pre-certified wireless components and follow established compliance pathways for finished products.

Limitations

No electronic device is entirely risk-free. While Attagram products are designed and tested with safety in mind, users should follow all usage instructions and exercise standard care when operating any electronic device.
