Help & FAQ
How does Attagram work?
You open the app, write a note, and hit send. It zips over the internet to your Attagram printer. Out comes a little receipt. Your kid tears it off and gets to work (or at least reads it and grins).
What do I need to set it up?
Wi-Fi, a power outlet, and the Attagram app on your phone. That’s it. Five minutes and you’re printing.
What paper does it use?
The same stuff as store receipts, but phenol-free (no BPA or BPS) and family-friendly. A starter roll comes in the box. Refills are on our store.
Does it need ink?
Nope! It prints with heat. No ink, no cartridges, no trips to the store for toner. One less thing to deal with.
Why not Bluetooth?
The whole point is sending a note from far away — work, the grocery store, grandma’s house, a hotel three states over. If you’re close enough for Bluetooth, just talk to your kid! Wi-Fi is what makes the fridge-note-from-anywhere thing work.
What is Attagram Cloud?
It’s the magic in the middle. Attagram Cloud carries your messages from your phone to the printer over the internet — so distance doesn’t matter. It’s $48/year to keep the notes flowing.
Why is there a subscription?
Great question! The subscription keeps the cloud service running — that’s the thing that lets you send a note from your office and have it pop out of the printer at home. Without it the printer would only work if you were standing next to it, and… well, then you’d just use your voice.
What happens if my subscription expires?
The printer takes a nap. It won’t receive new messages until you renew, but nothing gets lost. Hop into the app or our store, renew, and you’re right back in action.
Can multiple family members use it?
Absolutely. Mom, dad, grandma, the cool aunt — anyone you invite can send notes to the same printer. The more the merrier (well, up to four people).
Can kids send messages back?
Not yet! Right now it’s a one-way street — parents send, kids receive. But we’ve got some fun ideas brewing for the future.
What ages is this for?
For kids old enough to read — roughly five and up — and grandparents of any age. If you’d leave a note on the fridge for them, they’re the right age for Attagram.
